As a branch of a broader church mission originating in Sunset, Brooklyn, we've been driven by the vision of Staten Island residents eager to witness a fresh work of God on the Island. ZION St John is a growing church congregation on the Island. Eight years ago, a group of native New Yorkers saw the need for a new expression of family and welcome. In light of that need, there was a desire to participate in the work that God was doing. Instead of staying put at the sending church in Brooklyn, NY, we took a huge step and started a Christian church in Staten Island. ZION St. John’s has three values of community, discipleship, and prayer, guiding every decision and shaping our path forward. What to Expect
Welcome and connection are important to us. When you arrive at our Christian church for the first time you will be greeted with a friendly face at the door. Every week we start off with a Call to Worship from a Psalm, move into a time of musical worship, hear a sermon from the Bible, and end with prayer and song. After the service, we have a time of conversation and hanging out before we go home. Location is not as important as the people that gather.

We meet in the Grymes Hill Neighborhood of Staten Island at St. John’s Church. Come join us on Sundays at 11AM, childcare provided for children ages 10 and under.
